The restaurants of the island offer delicious dishes based on fish and seafood caught in the ocean and in the lagoon. The beauty of its landscapes combines with the natural vegetation that can be observed all over the island. It is one of the barrier islands that delimit the Ria Formosa.

Culatra Island

Mostly inhabited by fishermen. The island, which has been inhabited since 1880, currently has between 750 and 1,000 inhabitants. Fishermen, for the most part. We invite you to stroll through the typical small houses, and stop in one of the restaurants of the fishermen: a variety of seafood will be proposed, a freshness.
